Benjamin’s journey started in 2018 at Hotel Icefiord. Since then, he traded icebergs and Arctic calm for chaotic Hanoi traffic and tropical heat. In 2025, he won the Epicure Vietnam Gourmet Award as “Rising Star Chef”.

Meet Thorbjørn
“I’m completely in control of the menu. So I get to cook and play around with the most amazing arctic ingredients”
Thorbjørn wanted a break from everyday life and to experience more of the world. He found it in Qasigiannuit, where he, during the summer, cooks reindeer, halibut, and other local ingredients in one of our biggest kitchens.
